The Drama of Windrush!

Available to book now!

Ahead of the 5th annual National Windrush Day, this interactive workshop will use performing arts based activities to describe the migration of people arriving in the UK from Caribbean countries between the 1940s and 1970s, who are known as the “Windrush” generation. We will also have story-telling from a special guest speaker.

To finish, we will serve a hot lunch of Fried Chicken, Rice and Coleslaw from local Caribbean restaurant, Jerk Cafe.

Tailored for 5–16-year-olds, there are limited spaces and this session bookings are made on a first come, first served basis, until Wednesday 8th June, 8pm.

How to book: The two-and-a-half-hour-long classes are charged at £8 per child.

This workshop will take place at Woodlands Youth Centre, Woodlands Road, Gillingham, ME7 2BX.

If you would like your child(ren) to be among the first to benefit from this fun, sociable learning experience, secure your place(s) by booking online at 👉 https://www.medwaycultureclub.co.uk/our-workshops
