In this fun-filled session Medway Culture Club will welcome local restaurateur and owner of the Jerk Cafe in Strood, Zena Campbell.
As a former teacher, Zena will lead the session using her own personal experience to teach the children what goes into running a restaurant. Activities will be aimed at 5 – 16 year-olds and include setting up a food stall and producing traditional Jamaican patties to take home and try with their families.
At Medway Culture Club, we believe that turning goal setting into a fun, memorable activity, students are more likely to engage and think more creatively about their futures.
To finish, we will serve a hot lunch from Zena's restaurant, Jerk Cafe.
Tailored for 5–16-year-olds, there are limited spaces and this session bookings are made on a first come, first served basis, until Wednesday 30th March, 8pm.
How to book: The two-and-a-half-hour-long classes are charged at £8 per child.
This workshop will take place at Woodlands Youth Centre, Woodlands Road, Gillingham, ME7 2BX.
If you would like your child(ren) to be among the first to benefit from this fun, sociable learning experience, secure your place(s) by booking online at 👉 https://www.medwaycultureclub.co.uk/our-workshops
