Join our hands-on Jam Session & Music Production Workshop on Saturday, 11th October, at MidKent College, Gillingham.


Get ready to drop the beat and turn up the creativity! This electrifying session celebrates the rich legacy and global influence of music of Black origin, from reggae and hip-hop to soul and afrobeats. Young participants will:


🄁 Join a live jam session with real instruments and percussion

šŸŽ¶ Dive into music production using digital tools and beat-making software

šŸŽ™ļø Create their own theme songs inspired by iconic genres and artists

šŸ² Enjoy a delicious Caribbean lunch to fuel the rhythm, provided by Mumma's Kitchen


Younger learners will participate in an African-drum jam session and make sweet music with David (The Windrush Experience) Lawrence, while older ones will board the Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF) Studio Bus to learn how to write lyrics and participate in a music production session, creating their own theme song.


We are proud to be collaborating with some very talented musicians and producers for this extra special session. This immersive experience is designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and connect kids with the cultural roots of the music they love.


Whether your child is a budding beatmaker or just loves to groove, this session promises high energy, big smiles, and unforgettable vibes.
