Diversity: Ages 10 – 16

Workshop Description

Children aged 5–16 will enjoy a vibrant, hands-on creative workshop where they explore the power of stories through Black art and culture. Inspired by the bold, colourful work of Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid, participants will discover fascinating Black British art history before designing and painting their own unique canvas tote bag with guidance from a professional artist. A fun, hands-on experience that blends creativity, culture and self-expression. 10:30 am - Drop off. 10:30 am - 10:45 am - Ice-breaker activities. 10:45 am - 12:30 pm - Art-themed scavenger hunt, pop-up art gallery featuring multi-cultural artists (from across the Afro-Caribbean diaspora), quiz, paint your own art piece on a canvas bag. 12:30 pm - Lunch. 1:00 pm - Collection.
