Workshop Description

The Magic of Mardi Gras Workshop Join Medway Culture Club for The Magic of Mardi Gras on Saturday 14th February, 10:30-13:00, at MidKent College's Community Hub, Medway Road, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1FN. A fun, creative workshop celebrating the colourful heritage and traditions of Mardi Gras 🎭💜💚💛 Children will enjoy making masquerade masks, creating carnival crafts, and designing parade pieces, culminating in a joyful group parade. This vibrant, hands-on experience encourages children to learn, create, and celebrate culture together. The session also includes a traditional Gumbo lunch, giving children a taste of Mardi Gras culture through food and creativity. 10:30 am - Drop off. 10:30 am - 10:45 am - Ice-breaker activities. 10:45 am - 12:30 pm - Mardi Gras traditions, games and crafting session. 12:30 pm - Lunch. 1:00 pm - Collection.
