Workshop Description

In this interactive session, Medway Culture Club will work collaboratively on Carnival-inspired creations to showcase at our carnival event on the 13th of August. With a choice of woodwork or sewing, we will welcome local sewing studio owner Naomi from Sew in Kent and offer a hands-on woodwork workshop. To finish, we will serve a hot lunch from our local Caribbean restaurant, Jerk Cafe. 10:30 am – 10:45 am: Arrival & ice-breaker activities 10:45 am – 11:15 pm: Carnival origins presentation 11:15 am – 12:30 pm: Carnival creations practical activities 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch 1:00 pm – Collection.
